Midnight Juggernauts "This New Technology (Radio Edit)"

So apparently Midnight Juggernauts spent the winter down in Oz watching Adams Family re-runs and listening to Pink Floyd. Oh, and recording. That is what we've gathered from this new single. Vanquished are the fatty kick drums and assorted electroisms, replaced now by Phantom Of The Opera organs and ballad snares, signs of improved studio conditions and more epic arrangement ambitions. FREE MP3.
Interview with Midnight Juggernauts here.

The XX "Basic Space (Sampha Remix)"

Quietly charming boy-girl pop from hotly tipped band The XX, taking supine, soulful vocals and teaming them with downbeat drum machine shapes and frosty guitar melodies. It's a gradual but oddly addictive number that sneaks its way into your consciousness by stealth more than by force.

Julian Casablancas "11th Dimension"

On Julian Casablancas' first single for Phrazes for the Young, "11th Dimension," he drops a line that cuts eerily close to what Strokes fans are thinking with each new solo project: "your faith has got to be greater than your fear."
(...)
It's got plenty of dripping-with-nostalgia '80s synths and coiling guitars, plus Casablancas's supercilious delivery. That massive, Pheonix-meets-Daft Punk bridge gets the job done too. Give it an aural preview at his MySpace or above. [Official YouTube channel here, ed.].

Klaxons "Sweetheart"

If you're a huge fan of Klaxons, you might've been waiting for this moment for a long time (or not). The British trio is releasing a new song this month, but before you get all excited, this song won't be included in the successor of 2007's album Myths of the Near Future. The song is a cover from highly influential New York band Suicide - and it sounds exactly the same as the original. Seriously.
'Sweetheart' from Klaxons (Free MP3 here), actually a solo journey for Jamie Reynolds, shares the same instrumental, vocals and untune from the original. The only difference you'll notice is that the Klaxons' version is one second longer than the Suicide's.

[I am not sure about what the hell is going. It just might be the record company Blast First that is fucking up the tracks, since they are now the publisher of both tracks, ed.]

The Zombies and Aphex Twin "The Way Nanou Feel Inside (Primary 1 Blend)"

Primary 1 is Joe Flory, a 24-year old half-Norweigan signed to Erol Alkan’s Phantasy Sound label. It’s all amazing. The Aphex Twin/Zombies mix (MP3) is fucking inspired.

Hudson Mohawke "Rising 5"

Megawatt R’n’B stars won’t be the only ones to take note of Butter, as the ever-growing global network of bass-craving music fans have been clamouring for new material since his lauded Polyfolk Dance EP earlier this year. On that record, HudMo’s hyper melodic drum-and-synth sidewinders only hinted at the panoramic pop magic that was to come and with it he found himself name checked by the likes of Rihanna, Goldie, Sa Ra, Busy P, Flying Lotus, Mars Volta & Crookers.
